Soul Book Raven is a part of an ongoing series of works by Judith Serebrin symbolizing the value and importance of the life and souls of animals and humans. The bird figure is made of stained porcelain. The book is created from monotypes with link and kettle stitching done with red linen thread.
Serebrin is interested in the stories every living thing has to tell. Her belief is that every creature has their own story to tell and it is through listening to these tales that we grow and come to know one another.
