The archetype of the female rabbit has long been used to distill women’s identities to simple sexual and reproductive beings. This piece speaks to how women are treated and disrespected — their reproductive constitutional rights have been stripped away, their societal worth is dismissed and devalued while they are glorified and fetishized as mothers and sexual objects — like a trophy animal that is skinned, spread-eagled and thrown on the floor to be trodden upon.
