It is difficult to convey the magic of Jane Rosen’s handblown glass birds. Working with master glass blower, Ross Richmond, Rosen has created innovations that transcend the medium as they literally “breathe life” into these mystical birds of prey.

In “Picasso Wall Bird,” one of Jane’s latest works, it appears that Rosen channeled the bird, no doubt from the countless drawings and color samples she puts together until she has sufficiently internalized the animal, capturing its essential bird-ness.
