"Siblings with Mud House" depicts two beautiful children the artist spent time with when she was in Kenya. They were part of the host family whose house they built with Habitat for Humanity. In the background was their original house which was a mudstructure. It kept falling apart and they had to re-build it almost daily. The building of the
new house, done together with the family, was an amazing experience for the Habitat
group but also brought a sense of empowerment and better life to that family.
