Forged metal book. A perfect volume of life's possibilities should be protected between grand metalworked covers, just as certain manuscripts created during the Middle Ages (mostly those made for royalty or God) were housed in an opulent framework of gold and jewels. “Stand Wherever I Am” was inspired by these treasure bindings. The elk on the cover represents determination, grace and gentleness. The stones set around it were chosen for their inherent beauty; however, it has been said that their metaphysical properties can protect, inspire and nurture. What writer couldn’t use a few of those qualities when faced with a blank page?
