aluminum, mirror cast object, LEDS

In keeping with his empowerment theme, this Mrs. Dalloway piece by Tim Tate has a secondary meaning that is as close to my heart as I can imagine. The most influential singer in my life has always been Joni Mitchell. In the song, “Ladies of the Canyon” there is the line “For the home she gathers flowers, And Estrella, dear companion.”

This was the first time I had heard a veiled reference in a woman being gay ever. So I love that song, and this piece reminds me so much of that lyric.
