Statement: When I was notified of the cards drawn for me I was initially stumped – the combination was so unlike what I would have chosen for myself. Then, as I sifted through my thrift store purchases and explored several ideas along the way, it all came together.
How I Learned to Read is part of the Ideation by Chance exhibition in which artists set out to make a book based on random assignments from a deck of options.
